ACTIVITY
Design
The Internal Technical Office develops electronic, electrical and mechanical design activities, using professional software.
Thanks to the specific ten-year experience in the railway sector of its designers, CPA Elettronica is able to develop the electrical and electronic project of the entire Vehicle System and of the various subgroups.
Production
CPA produces internally (its factories are located in Italy) the totality of systems and components for the railway sector.
Certification
The design and production of the systems are carried out in accordance with the UIC, EN and ISO standards relating to reliability, availability, maintainability and safety.
Testing
Within its own plants CPA is able to check and test the systems produced through a simulation of the real operating conditions.
For each new project, test benches capable of carrying out and certifying computerized test reports are built and developed.
CPA also has a Climate Chamber of 150 m3 (-20 to +45 C) for the check and test of HVAC systems, divided in two environments to simulate the passenger compartment and the exterior.

Assistance
CPA offers a comprehensive service in all stages of the development of a new project:
- Customer visits for analysis integration of the new system on the rolling stock;
- Support in the development of the project and in the preparation of the technical dossier;
- Interfacing with the various verification bodies;
- Warranty assistance on board the train at external construction sites.
If requested by the Customer, CPA can provide a remote diagnostic system for the preventive/corrective and predictive maintenance of its systems. The data collected on the rolling stock are transmitted to a server and processed in real time, allowing to optimize maintenance operations, and increasing the availability of the system.

Software SIL2
For several years CPA has been developing its own “Safety Integrity Level 2” (SIL 2) certified systems to meet the requirements of the international standard IEC 61508 for the reliability of safety functions from which other standards (such as EN 50129 relating to applications for the railway sector) also derive.
SIL2 certification guarantees the reduction of risks for the reliability and safety of programmable electrical, electronic or electronic systems.
